Why would you put final games on bank holiday weekend? A lot of people is looking forward to those weekends and try to get out of Dublin. Handball is not very big sport in Ireland and somebody should think about promoting it and trying to get people to come and watch the games. And not having it in empty UCD hall.

My friends, there was no much choice as hall was available only in 4th. believe me, finding halls is not easy.
Last year and years before final was not on bank holiday, but there was not much support anyway.
I think about promoting handball by running this league, running a club, playing and coaching a team, and mantaining this site. What do you do? Think at how to promote handball? well, thinking is not enough. Walk a mile in my shoes first, then you can talk!! Anyway as said we had no choice.

As far as I can remember,in last year final there were few people in the crowd :)

yes. then again, how do you develop handball? by giving you a holiday? or by inviting your friends to watch your game? Or by making sure kids play handball, coaching in schools and organising junior competitions? Believe me, the senior final has nothing to do with handball development. Ah, one things, of those that were at the men's final, none stayed to watch the U16 final. so much for handball development, those lads were there to watch you....even if you were playing squash with a glove!
