Both of these posts are about the great event organised by UCC and taken over by Lughnasa (until they got knocked out and wanted to go home and take the game balll with them), but is it just me or does anybody else find it odd that they both forget to mention that UCD won the event, and that the Irish national coach (Tom Ó Brannagáin) completely lost his temper at a young UCD player? I would have thought that it was fairly major news as I thought it was disgraceful behaviour and after all of his remarks of "fair play" and "development of handabll in Ireland" This is how he acts? If this is how he plans on achieving his goals he will have very serious problems acheving them, development is not pssible if you attack, yes physicaly attack the young players. Anyway who put him in charge? I was of the understanding that Fintan was the president of the IOHA... Hello Fintan? Are you there? Ever since the summer there have been so many personality clashes and arguements in Irish handball and they are just dragging it down with them. I call on you, President Fintan Lyons, To make one of two choices.

i) Do your job! Take actions on people that are reckless, overpowering and that are only in it for themselves. We all know who...

ii) Step down and let somebody else that is not afraid of doing things take your position.
We cannot move forward without some leader figure...

We are in the same postion as the government is... Some people messed it up... and as of yet those people are in there trying to fix it up and cover their asses, while everyone outside wants new ideas, new faces, new people in charge and a new way forward...

Has anybody heard of the saying... "out with the old and in with the new"

the reason why there is no comment about the tournament is very simple. I had no much time to post a good one. Also I wasn't there. About Tom. As said I wasn't there. I've been told by many what happened but wasn't there.

as part of the organising commitee, i asked members of Lughnasa if they could help out with the scoreboard and refereeing(although i did referee a fair amount of games myself). As they had experience in this regard in comparison to Blanchardstown and UCC who for a lot of them was their first time participating
