Ireland had the honor to play Andorra for their first international game

The Irish team had the honor to play Andorra last weekend in their first even international match.
Andorra is a small county between Spain and France with a population of just about 85.000 people, and since last May it is the 50th country to join the EHF family. Andorra have been training for 3 months for this game and the team plays in the Catalan league in Spain.

The very first match ever, and a population that equals 1/3 of Dun Laughaire. But I am sure Tom and co. have still some excuse. This coach staff is useless, and the squad is no better. Stop pretending... you are last in Europe, and that few points are only for the effort of DI and Astra.

Bet my ass that in two years time Andorra will have more points than Ireland.

A bit harsh toward the young players I must say!

Leave unnecessary critics. True that Andora are minor handball nation, but can only beat what's in front of you. Young guys need wins for confidence. But I'm afraid there will not be much progress without strong domestic competition!

Well, Boris, in fairness, what is DI doing? with Kari transfer to DI, Astra go weaker, DI go stronger!you should start to say NO to players.

Big words from Anonymous there, but don't carry much weight without a name attached. Too easy to criticise when hiding behind a computer screen...

Chris is right, hence the new post!

Unfortunately we are not in position to say No to players purely because the numbers are not there. Some players like Kari any team would want in their team and guys want to win trophies so most of the time they come to us, not the other way around. I promise no one a spot, but a chance to fight for the position.

well, then you have your answer. You win without even playing. Very little the IOHA can do!
