UCC won against DCU, St. Pats won against Ireland 30-26 to St. Pats.

That's right!

really!!! I saw the first few min of the St pat's game. It didn't look like! well done.
What is the result of the UCC game?
Who has the score sheet?
Any comment on thetwo matches?

The beginning of the game was really nervous. St. Pats started very bad. Irish team went 3-0. But from this moment St.Pats started to score. Goals by Rade Arsenovich, Alex Markovic and Jakub Tarczewski lifted score to tie. First half finished promising for St. Pats who were ahead by 2 goals. Second half started good for Pats, Alex scored few high class goals from the wing, and Rade keeps killing Irish defense with super quick contra attacks, Pats advantage was clear. Only red card for Edvin Zunic destroyed completely happiness. In last 20 minutes of the game St. Pats was pushed to defense, National team started to attack with double passion, they try everything, used all energy to change the result but, but Pats played clever in attack, very focused in defense, enlarged possession time to maximum and in fact increased the lead to 5-6 goals.
The final result was 30-26. Top scorer and the best player for Pats was Alex Markovic, and in Irish team again the highest notes going to the Goalkeepers, who saved 5-6 penalties.

After the game coach from Irish team said, that he counted the goals himself, and Irish team should win by 1 point (sic!). He said after first half was draw 14-14 instead 15-13 for St.Pats. In his opinion officials, who were actually girlfriends of Irish players did counted incorrect the goals!?! I don’t know what thinking about this?! Even if there was draw at the half, St. Pats still have 2 goals advantage at the end. He said he is going to complain to IOHA, so we see. I know he wants to play as many games as only possible before Tournament, but we can always play friendly games, instead doing that kind of moves….

Can I have the score sheet? or can it be sent to the IOHA office? I need to take down all the info in it!

St. Pats didn't get one, Irish Team took all copies... bur he have guy on the bench who counted the goals for us.

sorry should read: ...but we have...

UCC - DCU
Cork won 30 to 23 against DCU.
Emiliano Guevara from UCC took the match report and posted to IOHA on Wednesday the 12th of October.
XLS sheet was sent by email as well.

Is there any time schedule for sundays semi-finals?

why do we let women do a man's job, eh?:-)this fiasco is not needed for the state of irish handball. if there is confusion, why arent we using the electronic scoreboard like we used 3 seasons ago. we're using UCD alot over the past yr so why not taKE advantage of the equipment we got and proper officials doing evrything so there is no fuss after and we are making the game more professional too!

That's true, but in fact even the goals didn't have the nets on sunday, so professionalisms in Irish Handball is a far, far story...

benny, I wish to believe that you are not just a typical Irish sexist - there are loads of women out there who play better than you ever will!

Benny, that's a stupid comment to make. I've done scoring plenty of times at matches without any issues arising. What, to you, constitutes a "proper official"? Is it just that they have to be male?

Interesting conversation. Personally I prefer girls. they are more precise, better handwriting, better looking. they 4 goals difference...I believe it is not possible to make so many mistake!

And finally, this week end:

UCC - St.Pat's 2.20pm in UCD
the probably a Friendly.
still have to get the refs.

benny, i don't understand who you are targeting with your observation. I agree that all is mess. This is why I introduced new rules. I am not going to babysit every single match, but simply punish who do not stay at the rules. teams are suppose to provide qualified table officials, if they don't...hard luck!

Ah lads, did u not see the smiley face after the 1st sentence.it was just a joke.i suppose i should have explained it better.BTW i'm not sexist. just making a comment about the way matches should be organised thats all!wasnt directing it at anyone in particular, well maybe the Association.they could do better to make it like a match of significant importance so if there is a competitive match in future, there should not be confusion or controversy!

and i dunno what was with that sly dig at others been better than me. Cop on for heavens hell, i wasnt trying to insult anyone and i wasnt on about playing handball, just the surroundings of a game.

oh and good observation with the nets, forgot about that

Benny, I AM THE GUY ORGANIZING THE LEAGUE. JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN'T GOT IT. For what concern the senior league the IOHA does NOT exists (or almost). This is a fact. However you and the clubs have to accept that Teams and referee must take on board the responsibilities that cencen them. The nets on the goals is not IOHA resp. but home teams, or both teams resp. to have a scoresheet and a whistle is a ref. resp. Table official is a home teams or both teams resp. also stop watches are home teams resp. but refs should have theirs. I can guarantee to you and this is also done in other country. A club in Italy was been fined 130 EURO because there wasn't a "second" (i.e. back-up) stop watch available! In general i agree with you, but i want to focus on who is responsible and for what!

Its the same people who always do the work... DCU provided the match sheets for both matches and referees and score/time keepers (with watches whistles cards etc..) for the pats/ireland match. Those scorekeepers were probably the most experienced in the league having done score/time in every match that DCU were at (not just playing in!) last year! I think its a bit unfair to criticise them just because martin thinks his sheet was right! they gave up their time just to do us a favour... the nets thing was just an unnamed ucd representative being lazy! ;o)
